IBAC Welcomes ICAO Council Decision on CORSIA Baseline

MONTREAL – 2 July 2020 – The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) welcomed the decision this week by the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to remove 2020 emissions levels from the calculation of the baseline of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), avoiding an undue burden on participating operators due to the effects of Covid-19 on air transport.

IBAC and GAMA Welcome ICAO Work on Aviation Challenges Related to the Global Pandemic

MONTREAL – 2 June 2020 – The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) welcome the report of the Council Aviation Recovery Task Force (CART) released yesterday by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). The report outlines principles and recommendations regarding the restart and recovery of the global air transport system following the COVID-19 pandemic. CART’s work will facilitate coordination among the ICAO Member States, international and regional organizations, including IBAC, and industry by providing global guidance for a safe, secure, and sustainable restart and recovery of the aviation sector.
